The 12th Day of Christmas....

It's so sad that this is our last day...we hope you've had fun!

"Christmas Frame Album" By Kim Loewen

After seeing Heidi Swapp's Mother's Day album I knew I wanted to create my own. This one is on a much smaller scale...I used a 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 frame. I cut out my bottom paper to fit the frame opening and then sewed different papers around the edge to create the flaps. I simply added some index print photos, a few embellishments and a little journaling! It was actually very quick to make and what a cute gift for a family or friend!

So...

Leave a comment and you will be entered to win...

On the 10th Day of Christmas....

Welcome to Day 10!

"Lullaby My Child So Dear" By Kim Loewen

It's hard not to fall in love with all the beautiful Christmas papers this year…why not take some time creating a layout to record a special Christmas memory. On this layout I used pictures of my son that were taken shortly before Christmas, but it was easy to incorporate them into the theme of my Christmas layout...remember just like Talia had mentioned when she made her frame ornaments...you don't always have to use a Christmas picture on a Christmas project!

Make sure you leave a comment today so you can be entered to win this....

Have you checked the Goodie Gallery? There are some great projects...the inspiration is incredible!!! Email us your Christmas projects so you can be entered to win a fabulous prize...this month is all about the give aways! Thanks Treasured Memories!

Congrats to yesterday’s winner…

The 7th Day of Christmas!

Okay, we're back! Hope everyone had a great weekend...here's today's project!

"Hanging Frames" by Talia Audenart

Every year I always make an ornament with a recent picture on it for our tree. These were so fun and easy to make, and as always, great for gifts, too! Like I said in the video, using coordinating elements just takes the guess-work out of everything and really speeds the process along. My kids love these (as you can maybe see by the pictures....their little fingers have been all over 'em). I think it will be fun to go through all their "picture ornaments" every year as we set up the tree...just a fun little tradition!

And here is today's giveaway...

You can't go wrong with American Crafts chipboard alphabets and these Prima Christmas flowers and accents are gorgeous. Post a comment so you have a chance to win!

And Saturday's winner is:

The 6th Day of Christmas!

Day 6!!!

“Gift Wrap Ideas” By Kim Loewen

It’s not always what you give, but the presentation of the gift that counts! I’m all about cute packaging and love to collect wrapping paper, tissue, bags and ribbons. So I’m challenging you this Christmas to be Creative as you wrap your gifts. It doesn’t have to cost very much to make your packages look super cute.

Here’s a few more ideas….

• Wrap your presents with newspaper and tie a red or green ribbon around it.

• Make your own gift tags using scrap paper…you could even make them a little bigger so they really stand out. Keep them simple by just adding a punched star and a button.

• Cut a snowflake out of white paper like you used to do as a kid and attach it to the front of your gift.

• Take a picture of different Christmas decorations around your house, print them and make them into gift tags by writing with a permanent maker right on top (similar to the picture of who the present is for idea…).

• Use a sprig of Holly Berries and tie a big bow on it and attach to the front of you gift.

• Make your own gift bag out of an envelope by sealing an empty envlope and cutting off one end. This works great with any size of envelope. (Someone once showed me how to actually fold the envelope so it looks exactly like a gift bag…it was so neat!)

• Cover a box and lid with wrapping paper…if you cover them separately they can be reused! Just tie a ribbon around it to keep it shut.

• Look for items around your house…think outside of the box and you could really surprise yourself at how cute your wrapping could turn out.

• Give your Christmas Baking on a nice dish or serving tray that can be a part of the present.

• Attach a Candy Cane or other holiday treat…maybe you could attach a little bag of yummy cookies or other baking!

I could go on and on…I love hearing other ideas, so feel free to leave a comment with any other suggestions.

And make sure you leave a comment so you can win this from Treasured Memories...

Oohh...such fun stuff!

Yesterday’s winner is….

Morgan

Congrats!!! Don’t forget to send us your email so we can get your goodies out to you right away!

And…

The 5th Day of Christmas!

Okay, everyone, ready for another project??? Let's go!

"Christmas Word Ornaments" by Talia Audenart
When I saw these on Ali's blog a couple weeks ago I knew this was a project that I wanted in my house for Christmas this year. As scrapbookers I think we are all attracted to words, so these ornaments are the perfect fit! I know I keep saying this, but they're sooooo easy to make! Literally, if you have cardstock, a printer and ribbon, then you're good to go. These are the words I used, but get creative and come up with any and all words that are fun and meaningful to you and your family.

believe
blessings
give
ho ho ho
hope
jingle
jolly
joy
laughter
merry
miracle
naughty
noel
peace
rejoice
savior
st. nick
twinkle
wonder

Oh, and let's not forget about today's giveaway:

These Hambly rubons are to die for. Thanks, Chantel! Remember to post a comment below if you want to be included in the draw, and don't forget to send us your Christmas projects for the Goodie Gallery. There's some cute stuff in there already!

The Fourth Day of Christmas!

Day 4 already…

Sorry...I'm having a little issue with downloading the video...check back later but I posted the project and prize!!!

“Christmas Art Journal” By Kim Loewen

I’ve really wanted to record my thoughts and feelings about the Christmas season this year, so I thought I would create an art journal. I’ve tried to use mostly the same product line to keep it simple and easy...this way I don’t have to think too much about coordinating items! Hehe! Each day for 12 days (you can see I’ve started already) I will journal about our traditions, thoughts, feelings, memories, or anything that’s happening at the moment that I don’t want to forget. I wanted this Christmas to be simpler so that I could focus on the true meaning of the season…and what better way to do that then journal.... As I journal I’ll fill in the pages more, but that will be the daily process…I’ll add the day, journal, and embellish more if needed! It will be so fun to look back next year and read my Christmas message.... If you wanted to simplify this project even more...you could incorporate the idea into a layout!

Remember to leave a comment so that you can be entered to win...
