Summer Inspiration #8

Okay...

here's the last of our summer inspiration!  We hope you've had fun joining us each week as we've shared our projects and layouts with you.

"Precious Baby Ryker"  By Kim Loewen
(supplies:  bling, ghost letters, silhouette word, chipboard letters, masks: Heidi Swapp;   dragonfly transparency: My Mind's Eye;  gold paint pen: Krylon;  ink: Tim Holtz;  jewels: other)

I love decorating frames and shadow boxes...it just adds so much to a room.  This one hangs in Ryker's room, but I'm thinking of hanging it right on his door.  It might be cute!  (These even make great gifts).

And...

make sure you check back next week for a new challenge...and something very exciting!!!

Summer Inspiration #7

Hello, hello!

Here's my last layout of the summer to share with you all...

"Hand In Hand" by Talia Audenart
(supplies: patterned paper, ribbon, pink chipboard letters, die-cut accents: Making Memories; mirror, paper flower, green chipboard letters, polka-dot mask: Heidi Swapp; glimmer mist: Tattered Angels; buttons: KI Memories; photo by Rebecca Cooper)

I am just so in love with the Making Memories Noteworthy line lately...I honestly have to make myself try to use other products, but I just keep going back to it! (notice my fave color combo yet again??) I like using the die-cut paper for my layouts...something different and fun, and they are just oh, so beautiful.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you've all had a wonderful summer! Come next week for some more summer inspiration, and then we'll back in September with a fresh new challenge for you!

See you soon,
Talia:)

Summer Inspiration #6

"ride" By Kim Loewen
(supplies: overlay, colored pencils, mask, die cut shape: Heidi Swapp; patterned paper: Sassafrass Lass, Scenic Route; acrylic stamps: Autumn Leaves, Pink Paislee; Brad, black journaling pen: American Crafts)

I'm all about simple lately. Anything that I can actually accomplish quickly is a bonus around here with summer being super busy and an almost two year old that keeps me on my toes.... But I love this layout! I love the light background and the simple embellishments. If you only have a few minutes to get something done...then try something simple. It will keep your creative mind going!!

See you next week!

Kim :)

Summer Inspiration #5

How are all of your summers going? I can't believe it is already August...one more month of summer left. I love this time of year! I hope you are all making the most of it.

Here's my project for today...

"Beautiful April" by Talia Audenart
(supplies: 9x9 calendar, ghost clocks, acrylic stamps, jeweled brads, chipboard letters: Heidi Swapp; patterned paper: Basic Grey, Sassafrass Lass, My Mind's Eye; felt flowers: KI Memories; other: ribbon)

One of the things I'm working on this year is this 2008 calendar. I love the idea of having a layout/month...it's a great way to document a year. This is my April page! At the end of every month I make sure I jot down all the important details on my calendar, and then I can do the actual scrapbook page whenever I have a chance. Since I organize my photos on my computer by the month, it's easy for me to choose photos from the correct month to use on my layouts. Hope you like it!

Thanks for coming by, we'll see you next week!!

Talia:)
