Monday Again!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Here in Canada today is a holiday, so I have lots of projects planned for my hubby...and I'm hoping I get some time to scrapbook.....isn't that what happens when you have a day off? Gotta catch up on all that stuff that keeps piling up! I know in the States next weekend is the long weekend, so if you're planning on going away make sure to submit your layouts before you leave....Sunday is the last day for submissions!

Today is Monday and that means another day to share some fun ideas!

But first of all....

There have been a couple of questions regarding this months challenge and I just thought I'd share the challenge theme with everyone once again. The theme is "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Blue"....yes, this is a wedding phrase, but it does not have to be a wedding layout. You can be as creative as you want to be.....we just want to see your layouts using the four items from the theme. I hope that helps....but if there are more questions you can email us at thegoodieboxgirls@hotmail.com anytime!

So.......here's more to share!

Instead of another layout this week...here's a couple new ideas!

"Memory clock" by Talia Audenart

something old: the picture
something new: the ribbon
something borrowed: the clock altering idea from Heidi Swapp
something blue: there's blue in the picture!

"Crib Cards" by Kim Loewen

something old: Heidi Swapp fuzzy rub-ons
something new: Heidi Swapp crown bling
something borrowed: the garland idea from one of Talia's projects
something blue: the Martha Stewart ribbon I used to tie the cards to the crib

Thanks again to everyone that has submitted a layout this month! It's been so fun to see how creative everyone has been with their old, new, borrowed and blue items! Tal and I have had so much fun and are excited to share more challenges each month. We have some pretty exciting things to share...so make sure you play along each month. I wouldn't want you to miss out!!!

Remember....you only have until Sunday, May 27th to submit your layouts for this months challenge! That's only 7 more days!!! Email your layouts to thegoodieboxgirls@hotmail.com so we can post all the layouts in the goodie gallery. So get scrapping and come play along!

*Sneak Peak*

First of all I hope all you ladies had a wonderful Mother's Day! It's a special day to celebrate the Women in our lives and I hope you took the opportunity to thank all the 'She's' in your life for all they've done for you...and I hope you were spoiled by your families! We know you derserve it :)

There's been some fabulous layouts submitted...so make sure to check out the goodie gallery to see everyone's submissions. And if you're really having troubles getting going here's a little tip that I like to do sometimes when I scrap and need some motivation...

-Go through your supplies and pick out an older product, a new product and something blue (things that pertain to the challenge this month).

-Find a picture you want to use...preferably black and white so it will go with all of the products you picked out.

-And then challenge yourself to start creating with what you've chosen!

-If you need some extra help pull out a magazine for some inspiration!

Sometimes I'll even give myself a time limit! So if you need to...set the timer on the oven and get scrapping!

Of course here's a little more motivation for you...

I've included items to go along with the challenge this month "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue" and I must say that these are some of my favorite tools to use when I scrapbook. I LOVE masks and foam stamps! They're so much fun for layouts and cards!

Don't forget that you only have until May 27th to submit your layouts...so get going! We've been so inspired by all of you...keep it up and have fun!

Challenge #2: Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue

We are so excited to share our second challenge with you! I'll quickly share the concept again for all those who are new and joining in this month...each month there will be a fun scrapbooking challenge issued and whoever is chosen as the winner will recieve a "goodie box" in the mail. A couple of other things I should mention...we have decided that each participant may submit up to 2 layouts per challenge and for anyone living outside Canada and the United States we ask that you pay shipping if you are choosen as the winner for the monthly challenge.

Now back to the details of the challenge...
This months challenge is:

"Something old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue."

Talia and I both just celebrated anniversaries and with it being May and the beginning of "Wedding Season" we thought this would be a perfect challenge. Pick one or two parts of the challenge, or for those that are feeling really creative use all 4! This is the time to pull out some of that old product you've had sitting in your scrapbook area far too long, or a good excuse to use all that great new product that you just had to have. Maybe you saw an idea on another layout recently and wanted to scraplift the idea!...we want to see it! Show us your layouts and come play along.

Here are our layouts for this month's challenge:

"Say You Love Me." by Talia Audenart

Talia's Challenge items included...
something old: the mm clear stickers and letter stickers
something new: the HS jumbo ghost clock, ghost heart and Martha Stewart ribbons
something borrowed: tulle from my mom's sewing room (that i used on top of the flower)
something blue: the blue jewel

"True Love" by Kim Loewen

Kim's Challenge items included...
something old: HS Chipboard and Silhouette letters
something new: American crafts patterned paper
something borrowed: Embossing the chipboard letters with clear embossing powder (taken from A Year To Remember with Heidi Swapp)
something blue: American Crafts patterned paper

Once you've finished your layout send us a link to thegoodieboxgirls@hotmail.com along with your name so that we can post it in The Goodie Gallery for everyone to see. We hope you take the time to check out everyone's inspiring layouts...They've all been amazing!

Remember that we will be picking one winner according to originality and creativity. We love to see all different styles and page sizes...so get started!

The deadline for submissions will be Sunday, May 27th and we will announce the winner on Monday, May 28th. One lucky winner will be choosen for a goodie box of fun products!

Check back often to see the layout submissions and for weekly updates. Next week we'll share a "sneak peak" of this month's goodie box! Now go dig through your stash and get scrappin!

:) Kim & Talia
