one more week!

Hi, Girls!!!

Just a little reminder that you have 1 more week to get your pages in for the "Welcome, Fall" challenge! If you don't have any photos, then get outside and take some pictures while the leaves are still around. For us Fall is a very short season so we totally have to make the most of it while we can. I took my girls for a walk today and we did lots of playing in the leaves...it was so much fun!

And just a couple more Halloween ideas for ya...

"Halloween Candy Jar" by Talia Audenart

I love candy corn...it's yummy, but most of all, cute! I used a Heidi Swapp mask and black spray paint on this jar, added a little ribbon and that was it. Fill with your favorite Halloween candy and you're good to go!

"Bat Goodie Bags" by Talia Audenart

These little goodie bags can be made for friends, teachers, whomever!! Just add some wings and eyes to a plain brown bag, then stamp the word Boo! Have fun!

We can't wait to see what else you guys have for us, so keep those submissions coming and we'll announce our winner one week from today!!

Happy Fall!

pumpkins and stuff!

Halloween is quickly creeping up on us and we still have some more ideas to share with you all!

"Spooky" Window by Kim Loewen
Isn't this window that Kim made so cute??? All she did was add the Making Memories wall art alphabet letters to her wondow, and then the cute Martha Stewart rubons. I love how it turned out!!!

And now for some totally fun pumpkins...

Kim took a different route for "decorating" her pumpkins this year...

Instead of just carving pumpkins like we typically do, she had some fun with black spray paint and Heidi Swapp masks. Try different words, phrases or even monograms!! So fun!

Another fun idea for pumpkin decorating is glittering them up!!! I got these fake pumpkins at Michael's for 40% off (and I think they're 50% off right now!) and then bought 2 different colors of the Martha Stewart glitter. This glitter is my favorite...the pieces are super fine and sparkly....so awesome. So all you do is dilute your regular craft glue with water. This will allow you more time to work, it won't dry so quickly. Then just sweep the glue on in sections with a foam paint brush, pour the glittler over the glue, tap off the excess glitter and move on to the next section. Seriously, glittering all 3 of these pumpkins was such a fast project and I can use them again next year!

Okay, so you all have until Monday, October 29th to submit your pages for the "Welcome, Fall" challenge. It's so fun to see what's new in our inbox everyday, so keep 'em coming! Thanks again to all of you for supporting us and having fun with us! Now go have some fun with your pumpkins...you still have lots of time to get ready for Halloween!!!

Halloween Garlands!

It's Monday again and we're back with some more fun and spooky Halloween ideas!

First of all, check out Kim's totally cute little "Chair Garlands" that she made for her house. I love them!! The Making Memories clear accents and word stickers are the perfect touch. All she did was cut circles, add her letters (you can use rubons, stickers, foam stamps, whatever you want!), added her cute accents and then attached them with ribbon. So fun and easy!! How cute would this look in your front entryway???

"Chair Garlands" by Kim Loewen

And since we are all about garlands right now I made one for my kitchen window using scraps! Thats right, I didn't buy one new thing for this garland....have fun mixing and matching papers and accents that you already have to make a "Trick or Treat" garland for your own home.

"Trick or Treat Garland" by Talia Audenart

Each of my letters are mounted on to a piece of chipboard to keep it stable and then I punched holes and attached them all together with plastic zipties. This project was so fun to do...like I said, I love using what's already in my stash, so check out what you have and have some fun making your own little Halloween Garlands!

You still have 2 more weeks to submit your "Welcome, Fall" pages! Thanks to all who have submitted so far. If you're feeling like you don't have many photos then challenge yourself to do a little photoshoot this week in the leaves, or even get your kids dressed up early and take pictures in their Halloween costumes. I love taking pictures of my girls ahead of time...less stress on the day of!

Email us at thegoodieboxgirls@hotmail.com if you have any questions and we'll back again this week with more ideas!!
