Challenge #2: Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue

We are so excited to share our second challenge with you! I'll quickly share the concept again for all those who are new and joining in this month...each month there will be a fun scrapbooking challenge issued and whoever is chosen as the winner will recieve a "goodie box" in the mail. A couple of other things I should mention...we have decided that each participant may submit up to 2 layouts per challenge and for anyone living outside Canada and the United States we ask that you pay shipping if you are choosen as the winner for the monthly challenge.

Now back to the details of the challenge...
This months challenge is:

"Something old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue."

Talia and I both just celebrated anniversaries and with it being May and the beginning of "Wedding Season" we thought this would be a perfect challenge. Pick one or two parts of the challenge, or for those that are feeling really creative use all 4! This is the time to pull out some of that old product you've had sitting in your scrapbook area far too long, or a good excuse to use all that great new product that you just had to have. Maybe you saw an idea on another layout recently and wanted to scraplift the idea!...we want to see it! Show us your layouts and come play along.

Here are our layouts for this month's challenge:

"Say You Love Me." by Talia Audenart

Talia's Challenge items included...
something old: the mm clear stickers and letter stickers
something new: the HS jumbo ghost clock, ghost heart and Martha Stewart ribbons
something borrowed: tulle from my mom's sewing room (that i used on top of the flower)
something blue: the blue jewel

"True Love" by Kim Loewen

Kim's Challenge items included...
something old: HS Chipboard and Silhouette letters
something new: American crafts patterned paper
something borrowed: Embossing the chipboard letters with clear embossing powder (taken from A Year To Remember with Heidi Swapp)
something blue: American Crafts patterned paper

Once you've finished your layout send us a link to thegoodieboxgirls@hotmail.com along with your name so that we can post it in The Goodie Gallery for everyone to see. We hope you take the time to check out everyone's inspiring layouts...They've all been amazing!

Remember that we will be picking one winner according to originality and creativity. We love to see all different styles and page sizes...so get started!

The deadline for submissions will be Sunday, May 27th and we will announce the winner on Monday, May 28th. One lucky winner will be choosen for a goodie box of fun products!

Check back often to see the layout submissions and for weekly updates. Next week we'll share a "sneak peak" of this month's goodie box! Now go dig through your stash and get scrappin!

:) Kim & Talia

Really silly question coming your way.......do the photos on the layout have to be wedding, or can you simply use the something old, new, borrowed, & blue theme with products ON the layout out????

Love your blog ladies.....visit often, hope to play soon!!!!
